Stellest

Stellest

Essilor® Stellest® are the first myopia management ophthalmic lenses to receive FDA market authorization in the USA. These lenses utilize a unique design that combines central refractive error correction with peripheral myopic defocus which aims to manage the growth of the eye, thereby reducing the risk of worsening myopia.

How it helps control myopia

Unlike traditional glasses, the Essilor Stellest lens has 1021 tiny highly aspheric lenslets arranged in 11 distinct rings 9 millimeters around the central visual axis. This is called Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target ("H.A.L.T.") Technology. Clinical studies have shown that these lenses can slow myopia progression by an average of 71% over two years. These results are comparable to study data for the existing myopia management strategies available, making HALT glasses an excellent option to consider for parents who want to reduce the chance that their children's vision will get worse as they grow.
